Trāṭaka
त्राटक
/TRAH-tah-kah/Prāṇāyāma
Steady gazing — the practice of fixing the eyes on a single point (traditionally a candle flame) without blinking until tears flow. Trāṭaka develops concentration (dhāraṇā), purifies the visual channel, and directly trains the faculty of drisṭi. It is one of the six śaṭkarmas and a foundational practice in the KALKI system.
