Jñāna Yoga
ज्ञानयोग
/GNYAH-nah YOH-gah/Philosophical
The yoga of knowledge — the path of liberation through direct, discriminative understanding of the nature of reality. Jñāna Yoga uses contemplation, self-inquiry (ātma-vicāra), and the rigorous application of viveka to distinguish the real (ātman) from the unreal (anātman). The KALKI system's analytical dimension draws heavily from the Jñāna tradition.
