Knowledge — specifically, liberating knowledge. Vidyā is the antidote to avidyā (ignorance), the fundamental misapprehension that the pattern is the self. Each Mahāvidyā is a "great knowledge" because she reveals a specific dimension of reality that the ordinary mind cannot access.
