Śītalī
शीतली
/shee-TAH-lee/Prāṇāyāma
Cooling breath — inhalation through a rolled tongue, cooling the blood and calming the nervous system. Śītalī directly reduces pitta (excess heat) and is used to counterbalance the heating prāṇāyāmas. In the KALKI system, it is prescribed after intense pattern-confrontation sessions to prevent energetic overload.
